As Small as a Mustard Seed...

Faith. We use this word a lot in our daily lives. Jesus certainly spent a lot of time emphasizing how very important faith is. In Matthew 17:14-20, Jesus famously said "... if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'move from here to there' and it will move."

The Bible lets us know just how important faith is - without it, we can't hope to please God (Hebrews 11:6). But it is such an important part of the arsenal God has given us that we need to understand exactly what it is.

The dictionary defines faith as a "complete trust or confidence in someone or something".

In the Middle East, the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds found. But did you know it grows to become one of the largest trees? The parable Jesus is trying to portray is that we should just start with a little. Just a little faith in Jesus will soon blossom into a lot as you witness the amazing miracles He performs in your life.

So will you do it? Will you have just a little faith in Jesus?
